Standing back and letting them throw their punches and insults at each other is the best way forward. This is the type of war where nobody comes out as a winner.
But behind it all I can’t help feeling that Putin has told Trump to do this, to bomb Iran, to put the price of oil up, to detract from the war in Ukraine. The only winner in this war is Putin. Israel, The USA and Iran are all losers in this war, at the end of the day they will gain nothing. So they knock out Irans ability to build missiles … factories can be rebuilt, production lines restarted and so the cycle continues. But Russia have now “temporarily “ had sanctions lifted so they can sell their oil on the free market. Fiko and Orban will be smiling, Putin will be doing an Irish jig all the way around the Kremlin. Trump is loosing friends and credibility more and more as every decision he makes screws the USA’s once friends and allies. I still believe this ‘war’ will go on until after the mid term elections should be held. Trump would not want the elections when there is a war going on, would he?
Totally agree there but think both Donald and Netanyahu have the Russian problem in Ukraine. How to stop without losing face. They both have so much to lose in terms of credability and how to do it by convincing their repective supporters to believe them. Outside we all know the truth. And right now I wish we had a Meloni running the UK rather than Starmer. At least we know where she sits.
