An unreliable ally who has no interest in being so is a theme that you have been pursuing for months and months; and is one that I concur with.

I have postulated in the past that it is time that the US needs to recover its citizens, fully close its borders and airspace and complete its acts of self immolaion and self destruction.

For those waiting and hoping that the 2026 round of elections to Congress and Senate will correct the balance then I fear that the Trump regime will close that route by a declaration of civil emergency, a point that you also make.

As said before: the US that many of us grew up with a 'know' is lost and we, the rest of the world, should let it crash and burn surrounded by the very few nations that will support it.

We in the UK have our own issues to watch out for: previous administrations that have failed our populations, a current one so adrift in principle that it follows the route of attacking the weaker members of our society (pensioners, family farmers, bus travellers, former service members, small businesses and, until today, the disabled) rather than the larger mega corpoartions, billionaires and multi-millionaires. While at the same time protecting their hobby horses and, of course, interest groups and lobbies who put money into their coffers.

We need to watch out because the temptaion of following the siren call of those that suggest that they will fight your cause, such as Reform, Sinn Fien, Plaid Cymru and the SNP, will lead us farther into the swamp - given that none of them has demonstrated any competance in running critical administrations such as Assemblies or Councils.

Which latest statement from Trump do you base your conclusion of US Leaving NATO? - The Danish news reported that Trump actually reassured article 5.
