‘Go home ya bum.’
Trump visit to the UK, 2025.
The state visit of Trump to the UK in September, is an abomination and a blight on the face of British decency. It should be cancelled regardless of any Trump backlash. History teaches us repeatedly, appeasement does not work, and grovelling to demagogues leaves a stain on history that can never be erased.
Trump must remain firmly in Washington, where hopefully soon, the American people will find the courage to remove him from power. In the interim, it is up to us what happens in our country. The original invitation from King Charles was offered by Keir Starmer in the hope he could manipulate Trump to his own ends, especially regarding trade and tariffs. This was the most cringing form of grovelling flattery. ‘An unprecedented, second invitation from King.’ Starmer has no understanding of national pride. Rejecting evil is always more important that being expedient. Some peoples would rather perish with honour than live in shame.
Trump’s visit has already been dramatically toned down. The dates agreed ‘coincide’ with parliament being in recess. This ensures Trump cannot address Parliament and Parliament cannot walk out in protest. King Charles will no longer have Trump visit his personal residence, because of ‘conflicting arrangements.’ This of course fools no one, Trump is held in obvious contempt by the Royal family, especially Princess Anne who refused to address him on his last visit. Her stand was a bold step outside accepted royal protocols.
The Royal family are usually obliged to smile and go through the motions ‘for the sake of the nation.’ They have done it before. In the modern era, our Royal family has become a top selling celebrity package offered as a gift to tyrants. Starmer must have pressured King Charles with nonsense about ‘the good of the country.’ The King, who has been ill since his coronation was probably too tired and weak to resist.
Trump is a convicted felon. That alone should be sufficient reason to exclude him. A court found him liable for sexual abuse in civil court. A decision that was described as “Rape” by the judge; that term does not apply in civil court. Trump has funded a masked, secret army of thugs who have quotas of 3000 arrests a day of undocumented immigrants priced at $1000 per arrest. He has a new concentration camp set up in the everglades without sufficient facilities or medical protection for malaria. Foreign visitors. Germans, Norwegians and Australian have been unlawfully detained and held for weeks. One Canadian died in custody.
Trump openly accepts bribes and supports our country’s enemies. Putin’s media mob have threated to bomb London, but Trump considers Putin an admirable friend along with Kim Jong Un, much in the way Hitler regarded Tojo and Mussolini.
Trump’s visit to the UK will be resisted by much of the UK population. There will be thousands chanting ‘Go home ya bum’ to the tune of Amazing Grace (how ironic). The security costs will be enormous and there are two guarantees, if there are bills to pay Trump will not be contributing and secondly, no good will come from it.
While other world leaders show their mettle and unite against this criminal mobster, Britain is portrayed as an obsequious, greedy, self-serving, little cur, sniffing at the smell of a reduced tariff for a Faustian deal with the devil. I am ashamed to have a government that could stoop so low. Starmer might be astute, he might have genuinely good motives, but he and his party have no understanding about the pride of the people. A people reduced by this shameful and disgraceful visit will have no pride left for their flag or nation. When Trump and Putin have gone, how will the ‘last remaining island to hold out against Hitler,’ recall their performance this time around?
Starmer has handed all our self-esteem to the lowest insect to currently walk the face of the earth. There is still time to take it back. Time to find an excuse such as ‘security concerns.’ Still time to discover and renew what was once known as ‘British pride!’
When Trump comes, I will be holding onto a placard with what is left of my pride chanting.
‘Go home ya bum.’
