Donald was a fat duck, he was fat because he was born rich and ate too much. His daddy left him a fortune in grain and worms. Donald spent his life sitting in a high nest watching life around the lake go by. He had several girlfriends. They would come, visit, get a few worms and then move on. Donald loved girls but unfortunately they prefered the fast, thin Drakes that soared around the lake quacking and flapping. Their slim, fit bodies were far more interesting than Donald’s little worms.

Donald could have almost anything he wanted, but he wanted to be like the Drakes. Sad and unhappy he went to the Wise Old Owl for advice. ‘I want to be a Drake’ said Donald, ‘I want to be the fastest Drake on the lake.’
